Hi,
I once again ran some tests on clamscan with T2211. The result is that clamscan.exe works in FreeDOS with the following options:

clamscan --tempdir=C:\temp --database=c:\utils\clamav (alternative: --database=main.cvd) --recursive --move=c:\virus c:\

c:\temp and c:\virus have to be created first.
--database=C:\utils\clamav uses main.cvd AND daily.cvd whereas --database=main.cvd only uses main.cvd.

But: the commandline version also requires a lot of RAM. With too less RAM it simply hangs.
I downloaded a file named eicar.zip (test virus) and it was found an moved to c:\virus .

@Jerome:
I checked fdimples and noticed that the old database from Ibiblio, (supports 640.722 virus definitions- main and daily- ,  as already mentioned you can also use version 54 of main.cvd WITHOUT daily.cvd - get it from "wayback" -, it supports 1.044.363 virus definitions) and clamscan can be installed from fdimples with TWO positions. This makes no real sense as they only work together in one installation folder (you put it in one folder).  There is no option to install FDAV with GUI from fdimples. Please add this fdav (either as a third installation position in fdimples or all three in one position at fdimples). Thx.
As both AV viruses need a lot of RAM it makes no difference, and you have two ways (command line and GUI) to run it from the same folder.

No changes were made to the antivirus yet.

Not sure who wants to work on fixing it. Or, if it will be left as is or removed.
