You would need to check the change log (if any) that is included in the respective package. With the wide range of text formatting and locations used by individual projects, I have not attempted to automate a method to parse individual project change logs to create a detailed summary of individual project changes. Although there is a lot of automation that is performed when I update packages, the overall process is still very time consuming. For example, from start to finish these few updates still took about 7 hours (from start to finish) to perform. However, a good piece of that time (maybe 3+ hours) was used by the automated tools chewing on the FreeBASIC files for things like timestamp preservation. Unfortunately, I just cannot dedicate the time required to cobble together such a detailed change list manually. Thankfully, the entire process for both Interim Test Builds and Actual Release Builds is fully automated. All I need to do is fire up a related virtual machine and run “make”. The RBE will perform all the work to configure things and assemble a release from scratch. I come back an hour or so later and if there were no package or other issues (like size limitations) a release will be waiting.
