Hi, people. What about the ArcaOS? It can run Windows 16-bit applications among other applications.

There is TRIDOS, which was included in the old Blair distro of FreeDOS, but it is far from perfect. You could compare the situation to what the VSB could do years ago versus what VSBHDA and relatives of it can do in 2024 for SoundBlaster emulation on modern hardware. Technically, TRIDOS does what you want, but for practical use, you probably have to look for something newer which I hope somebody has already been tinkering with. Cheers, eric PS: Given that ReactOS uses Wine components, it should be able to support apps of different old and new Windows versions. But drivers are probably oriented towards the newer Windows it primarily clones. _______________________________________________ Freedos-devel mailing list Freedos-devel@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/freedos-devel _______________________________________________ Freedos-devel mailing list Freedos-devel@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/freedos-devel
