I remember starting DOG with Micro-C, but dropping it because their
standard C library had some bugs when dealing with CON and other devices...
You can still read the expletives in the changelog in the dog.c
<https://github.com/susi/dog/blob/main/dog/src/dog.c> file 🙈
I switched to Borland's Turbo C++ and it made the world of a difference!

Hopefully those bugs were fixed in the 25+ years since then.
