Tom suggested in another message thread the removal of MiniBox from the release
media.

I had never used it. So, I gave it a quick try.

I though it was a sort of command shell. But, that does not appear to be the
case.

It seems to be a wrapper for several Linux commands.

Minibox Commands:

beep
cat
cd
clear
cp
date
echo
ls
mkdir
mv
help
pwd
rm
rmdir
sh
time

Most of these have FreeDOS equivalents and are not needed.

Usage is basically “minibox ls”, to perform the ls command.

A bigger issue is many commands did not work under RC2.

For example, “sh” and several other commands generate the following output in
VirtualBox:

C:\>minibox sh

This also occurs under T2411.

Since I did not have an instance of FreeDOS 1.3 in VirtualBox, I did not try
the program under that OS version.

Regardless, I propose removing MiniBox from the install media.

Please let us all know your opinion on its removal.

Thanks,

Jerome
