There are at least two reasons for revisiting this after the 1.4 release:
1) FreeDOS EDIT wastes five lines of space for displaying garbage. Five
out of 25 for crap like "borders"!
2) The constantly flashing mouse cursor is driving me nuts. It seems to
constantly update the screen even if nothing is "going on".
