At some point, I think I will be changing some of the stuff at the bottom of the repository index page(s). One possible change may be having the ISO link go to a new page which contains more information. Such as, date, size and hash information. But, I am completely swamped with things to-do for FreeDOS. So, that is not likely to be anytime soon. FDRepo is the software that creates and maintains the software download and update repositories. Anytime a new package is added or an existing package is updated, the new version of FDRepo will update all appropriate information and files as needed. While less convenient, information to determine what the ISO has been updated is available through other means in the repositories. The easiest method would be to subscribe to that repositories RSS feed. Each repository has their own feed in several languages. A link for the feed is also on the bottom of the page near the current ISO link. You would then be notified whenever a package gets added or updated in that repository. Since FDRepo will build a updated ISO at that time, you will not only know when the ISO was updated. You will also know if it is worth downloading. Alternatively, their is a link at the bottom of the page to a “Package Comparison” chart. This chart shows all the current latest “Version” of packages in the repository. Other columns show the version of that package that “shipped” with various releases of FreeDOS. Of course, this page is also updated when things change in the repository. Like all pages in the repo, at the bottom, there is a “page last modified” displayed. That time stamp will be within a few minutes of when the ISO related to that specific repository was updated. You just need to visit that page and scroll to the bottom. https://www.ibiblio.org/pub/micro/pc-stuff/freedos/files/repositories/latest/html/en/compare.html <https://www.ibiblio.org/pub/micro/pc-stuff/freedos/files/repositories/latest/html/en/compare.html> Which as of this post, says 8/21/2025 at 2:34 EDT. The ISO being updated before that page by FDRepo was on 8/21/2025 at 2:33 EDT. Close enough.
