Hi!
How about this, which is copied/pasted from the website: :: Welcome to the FreeDOS T2511 installation program. :: :: FreeDOS is an open source DOS-compatible operating :: system that you can use to play classic DOS games, run :: legacy business software, or write new DOS programs. :: :: Do you want to proceed? :: :: Yes - Continue with the installation :: No - Return to DOS
This sould include something SHORT about the installation replacing anything that was on the whole computer before. People can relax when realizing that "anything" is "nothing" if the "computer" is a new virtual machine they just made, but I would say it is important to warn first. Your current text basically says "DOS can do cool things, do you want to use it?" without explaining side effects of continuing with the installation. I guess the installer could attempt going dual boot if any FAT partition is already there, but I believe we stopped including that feature? And it still includes significant risks of no longer being able to boot the other FAT-based operating system afterwards, even if we still include it.
:: Drive C: does not appear to be partitioned. :: :: Do you want to partition your drive? :: :: Partitioning your drive will remove other data that is on it. If you :: continue with this step, you may delete the operating system you have :: now (for example, Windows). If this is not what you intend, please :: stop now. :: :: Yes - Partition drive C: :: No - Return to DOS
This is a good warning. While there might be cases where people manage to repartition without too much data loss, the "normal" outcome of changing partitioning indeed is severe data loss. It might be an idea to include a bootable minimal Linux with GPARTED as an extra tool, but users need a good understanding to use that to their adavantage and such users might be happy with using a separately downloaded Linux image for that anyway.
