V8Power Tools, specifically the VINFO command. A user requested and provided an additional test for Bochs. Per user request, I also brought back the rarely successful test for general emulation. The general emulation test is not performed by default and requires using a /T switch instead of /M to be perform all CPU and VM tests performed by VINFO. Also, I never bothered to included the /G test for graphics adapter in the help screens. So, I rectified that. V8Power Tools, all visual utilities. A minor and long overdue addition to test that the Screen Row count has been initialized by the BIOS. When a utility in V8PT starts, it will now check that the Row Count is a reasonable value. If it determines that the value does not seem valid, it will assume it has not been initialized and use the default of 25 rows. DOSZip, updated to version 2.68. See DOSZip for additional information. GREP and XGREP. Simply updates to the package metadata that were requested by a user. Added GREP requires 386+ note. Added XGREP only requires 8086 and performs recursive directory searching. FDI had a minor change. Per discussion in the online meeting, the Default Choice on the Welcome Screen (aka Installation warning dialog) has been changed to “Exit to DOS”. This is to provide an additional step in the prevention of accidentally making changes a hard disk with an existing OS. It also makes that prompt consistent with all other dialogs that provide the option to abort the installation.
