Subject: Dell and N-Series PC

I read on Dell's website and it ships an N-Series PC with a FreeDOS CD in the
box but not preinstalled. Is it based on the original fdbootcd.iso downloaded
and burned to CD by Dell at the factory?

I do think so. No one on the list has a DELL, so..
However, if they offer FreeDOS to their customers, they should also offer sources to FreeDOS components.
They are also in the fdbootcd.iso file, so maybe DELL only offers sources to their customers, on the delivered cdrom,
and not by a downloadable cdrom image from their website.

The PC's that Dell sells are blank systems, and there's a FreeDOS install CDROM included in the box. I understand that Dell supports that distro of FreeDOS running on that Dell PC, so you could call Dell Support if you run into problems running FreeDOS on it.

The CDROM does include source packages to everything. Although, I don't have one of these Dells, so I can't verify that. They did promise to send me one of the CDROMs, though .... ;-)

If the FreeDOS that they distribute was also downloadable from their site, I could verify.
in case you're interested in a newer version: I'm releasing a newer FreeDOS distribution next week.
