Stefan sent this to fd-doc-list, but we have few members on that list. So I'll fwd it here:

hi,

i'm working on a german wiki book called "FreeDOS Kompendium"
http://de.wikibooks.org/wiki/FreeDOS-Kompendium
it is based on the wiki concept so everyone is invited to contribute (in
german) to it. of course all content is under the terms of gfdl. maybe
someone wants to translate this to other languages.

sincerly, stefan mayrhofer.

This is *very* impressive (I'm from the Netherlands, I can read/understand German language good enough)!
However some points clearly are still based on Beta9 prerelease #5 instead of the final Beta9. For example, I merged some config.sys entries (2 and 3).

Also there *is* a diskette distribution, but very small (BASE + sources) in the FreeDOS download space:
http://www.ibiblio.org/pub/micro/pc-stuff/freedos/files/distributions/beta9/disk1440/

Does a WIKI allow for showing screenshots? I can make some in VMware.

Stefan, thanks for all the hard work,

Bernd
