I don't remember where, but several years ago, I did see a latex version that ran in dos. Of course, at the time, I had no use for it, so didn't bother to keep track of it. Perhaps someone else has information about it though. I have no idea what version it was, or what features it had, but it may help just to know such a thing does exist.
