Hi All,

I've just released version 0.5 of VMSMOUNT, which adds partial LFN support.

* New option /LFN will "mangle" long file names (or those with illegal
or unconvertibe characters) to valid 8.3 names, using a hash
algorithm. For example, "This is a long file.name" will translate into
"THIS~2BF.NAM"
* Option /M:<n> allows to set the number of "mangling" characters used
to create the unique name. For example, the same "This is a long
file.name" will translate into "THISI~02.NAM" if /M:2 or
"TH~0BAC0.NAM" if /M:5.
* Option /CS tells vmsmount that the host file system is case
sensitive, so names with lower case characters will also be mangled.
For example, "EXAMPLE.TXT" will be left unchanged, but "Example.txt"
will be translated into "EXAM~4F0.TXT"
* On the other hand, /CI implies that the host file system is case
insensitive, so "example.txt" and "ExaMPLe.Txt" are the same. This is
the default behaviour.
* Added /QQ (silent) option, for those allergic to messages ;)

You can grab it from http://sourceforge.net/projects/vmsmount/

Best,
Eduardo.
