Thanks for the comments, Karen. I'll check out Lynx once again based on your recommendation and see what I think now. I do see that Lynx recommends my MOUSKEYS program to enable mouse support, so it can't be all bad ;-).
It has been a long time since I've tried Lynx, and I don't remember which version I had when I did test it.
