Dear people of FreeDos, thank you for having me on your email list :)
Can anyone convince me to use FreeDos over MS-Dos 7.1?
I tried installing FreeDos on a Pentium MMX, with CD-Rom, and it took 8 hours of installing painfully slowly, before I did something that interupted the process. MS-Dos took me only a few minutes and works like a charm.
As my goal is to use old machines, at the moment I do not see the benefit of FreeDos, certainly because it seems not all MS-Dos programs work on it and it doesn't seem to function well on older machines, although the website and other witnesses seem to say the contrary. Of course I don't really know FreeDos and that's why I ask your guidance. Please convince me why it is the better choice.
Thank you :)
Thalis
