Hi everyone

I wanted to share the final stats of the FreeDOS article series. The series
ended two weeks ago, so I think the numbers have settled down.

I don't know the official stat comparison for Opensource, but I've seen
some unofficial stats of other articles, and anything above 500 views is
doing pretty well. (People loved the Edlin article, by the way.)

And for comparison, my other article How FreeDOS Grew Up and Became a
Modern DOS
<https://www.cloudsavvyit.com/12250/how-freedos-grew-up-and-became-a-modern-dos/>
that
ran on CloudSavvy IT on July 2 got 5,670 views.

*Why am I sharing these stats? Because websites care about page views, and
when articles about one topic do well, they are more likely to want other
articles on the same topic. So if you're interested in writing an article
about FreeDOS, but aren't sure if a tech website would run it - the stats
suggest FreeDOS articles can do well. I encourage you to write that
article.*

My interpretation of the best-performing FreeDOS article topics on
Opensource.com are:
-introducing people to a new topic or project
-programming
-showing how things work
-anything connected to Linux

..but that's just my interpretation.

Jim
