Oh really? I remember it was in a much earlier version. (I put FreeDOS on an old PC I was giving to charity and was astonished to find my own name in the credits. I did some batch-file debugging for Shane and he credited me!) Where can I find it? > There's PGME (Program Manager Eternity) which we include in FreeDOS. > It's on the LiveCD under Applications. It gets installed to C:\PGME Oh, is _that_ what that is? Right! I will have a look at that. There are a lot of cryptic programs in a full install, to do things I've never ever wanted to do, but I am sure they're very useful to someone somewhere. :-) As an xNix user and administrator since 1988, I am still today often surprised by people's delight at obscure functions I've never needed to do even once in 35 years. But that's the Pareto Principle in action. E.g. I still use (very old versions of) Word for Windows, just for its outliner. Most people don't even know it's there. LibreOffice doesn't implement it. It often seems to me nobody else knows what outliners are for or how to use them. -- Liam Proven ~ Profile: https://about.me/liamproven Email: lpro...@cix.co.uk ~ gMail/gTalk/FB: lpro...@gmail.com Twitter/LinkedIn: lproven ~ Skype: liamproven UK: (+44) 7939-087884 ~ Czech [+ WhatsApp/Telegram/Signal]: (+420) 702-829-053 _______________________________________________ Freedos-user mailing list Freedos-user@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/freedos-user
