If this is of any help, you can set an 80x28 resolution in VGA by selecting an 8x14 pixel font, instead of the more common 8x16. Some even look better. It is also possible to set the screen mode to an SVGA or higher resolution, but not all modes support BIOS text functions, and you need these for DOS output. What will work depends on the video card.
