Hi,
others might have touched on this, but I am a touch confused.
Are you asking if using a USB sound source will always present latency?

Is this common problem with BIOSes or is this hardware exceptional in this

hardware.
On the other hand is there some possibility to make the Azalia sound working?
If yes, I can return to the first machine.
Thanks

Hello,
I have installed FreeDOS 1.4 to a 16 GB USB 2.0 stick. I booted it on AMD
FX-4100 machine. It was working OK, but I was unable to make sound card work.
Probably the Azalia sound card is too new hardware for VSBHDA. So I tried to
boot the stick on the AsRock ION 330 machine. The sound is working there, but I
suffer much harder problem on it which I cannot solve.
The USB 2.0 seems to be working in USB 1.1 mode, it is very slow. Is there some
way to overcome the issue? I was looking into BIOS and USB 2.0 support is
enabled.
When booted from USB, the USB support is entirely up to the BIOS.
So there is little what you can do other then playing with BIOS options.
Tom
