AFAIK, the kernel is the same version as in FreeDOS 1.3, so presumably yes.

Those flash drives (which I also use) are something like 2x slower to
read and 5x slower to write than a traditional hard drive. So I
usually use a RAM drive to do any real testing.

Copy your latest draft from C:\ to your RAM drive (let's say G:\).
Edit as needed.
Replace your permanent copy in C:\ with your changed copy.

(Of course, you can do it a different way, but that's my weak recommendation.)
Don't forget a backup (and another backup)!
