These are operational attributes, did you have them in the attribute list of your query?

$ ldapsearch -LLL -x -b cn=anonymous-limits,cn=etc,dc=example,dc=com nssizelimit nslookthroughlimit
dn: cn=anonymous-limits,cn=etc,dc=example,dc=com
nssizelimit: 5000
nslookthroughlimit: 5000
