The above was in reference to enabling the ipa-ccache-sweep.timer. You
said that only happens on upgrades. Why only upgrades? Why shouldn't
that timer be enabled on first-time installation of ipa-server also?
I think it was missed in the implementation of this feature in 4.9.0.
Rob opened https://pagure.io/freeipa/issue/9107 to address it, so it
will be fixed soon.
I addressed that in my original answer. The encrypted session is in
ipa_session cookie.
Just in case anyone is unclear, this is in the ipa_session cookie for
the server. I deleted that cookie and now logging into the webUI
works.
