My setup is FreeIPA, RSpamD, Dovecot and Postfix all on seperate VPS's.
Works nearly perfect for me with the following Goatchas;
1) My setup requires the ability to redirect using sieve to my erp for
support requests which means I need sendmail or postfix on dovecot's
server so I'm having to merge Dovecot and Postfix for this reason. (Can
send you working config before hand if needed).
2) I couldn't get postfix and Cyrus Sasl work with FreeIPA so it's using
dovecot as the authentication method which breaks smtp GSSAPI
authentication. Shouldn't be an issue when all on the same server.
3) I have to switch authentication to normal password when I want to
connect with Thunderbird (Mail Client) to managesieve (I beleive this is
a thunderbird issue).
To get it working I used the github repo Carbenium/freeipa-mailserver to
extend FreeIPA with some additional Parameters and custom LDAP binds
with Postfix.
