I know that the scheme version didn't work for me either. I'm more curious than anything.
When I was doing the libfreeipmi audit/upgrade (with only 1 ipmi machine) I just assumed that it didn't support pef. But 3 different machines (3 different vendors and 3 different ipmi implementations) all not supporting pef seemed too odd to me.
