The in-band version wouldn't work from user since the device file is
root:root 0600 by default; on the other hand, if I want to sysadmin a
different system I might prefer not to send the commands as root (since
then if there is a vulnerability on freeipmi's side and there is a
compromised remote IPMI system, I might compromise my own).
