Hi, The most likely issue you're hitting is a bug on many Dell Poweredge motherboards. If you use this workaround, "-W ignorescanningdisabled", it should work around. Short description of the workaround, the Dell motherboards say that a sensor is disabled, but in reality it isn't.
Other possibilities may be that sensors need to be bridged (--bridge-sensors) or shared sensor outputs need to be enabled (--shared-sensors). I'm unsure why ipmi-sensors -v would work. Would you mind showing examples of the differences.
