See if any of the following commands shows any useful info about IPMI. # dmidecode # bmc-info --no-probing -D KCS --driver-address=3232 and # bmc-info --no-probing -D SMIC --driver-address=3240
# bmc-info --no-probing -D KCS --driver-address=3232 ipmi_cmd_get_device_id(): Success Channel Information: # bmc-info --no-probing -D SMIC --driver-address=3240 ipmi_open_inband(): Operation not supported # dmidecode # dmidecode 2.9 # No SMBIOS nor DMI entry point found, sorry. The sparc have a boot prom, and with the equivalent of dmidecode (prtconf) i see nothing explicitly named as ipmi. But there are some non-explicit names like SUNW,smbus-ppm, SUNW,smbus-fan-control. The success of the first command is a good sign? I will make an updated patch with yours suggestions.
