sounds good. But I do have problems to imagine where singletons are necessary. 
The literature says that you use singletons where it is not imaginable that 
there are two instances for example when a hardware restricts this (you have 
only one hmmm mouse lets say). In FreeMind I allowed a singleton for Ressources 
as we do only have one language at a time.

PS: Luckily, nobody obliged my to use COBOL so far..... (But I have to use C++, 
with all the memory leaks and so on....)
