Dimitry,

I meant the two big .png files, not the pdf document. I found the pdf document much easier to understand.

I guess it's not as important as I initially thought, since the refactoring is going to obsolete the present architecture, so I'll concentrate on helping where I can on the new stuff.

It looks like Resamp is already doing a good job critiquing the design. It's good to get another enthusiastic and ambitious coder on the team. I'm glad he has the time to help.

While you've done a good job documenting the advantages of the new design, you haven't spent much time on potential drawbacks. All designs contain compromises. I think it would be a good idea to spend some time looking for potential problems and documenting them. That may help start discussions on how to strengthen the design.

I think this effort is off to a good start. Keep up the excellent work.

Ray,

Is it possible to create a version of the first diagram that can fit on pages that are easily printed out, and still be understandable?

Actually I do not understand what diagram you mean. I thought that all diagrams in the pdf document are really small, and the other two diagrams are just too big for a detailed analysis and documentation.

Dimitry
