Dear Christian,
I have just started to install FreeMind 0.8.1 on Windows and found the
following three non-technical issues, pertaining probably both to the max
Windows installer and the min Windows installer.
CONTRIBUTORS
The installer screen reads, at the top left corner, "FreeMind", and at the
bottom right corner, "Copyright (C) 2008 Christian Foltin, Dimitry Polivaev
and others."
Why are not all the major contributors of code not mentioned? These are
AFAIK:
- Jörg Müller
- Daniel Polansky
- Petr Novak
- Christian Foltin
- Dimitry Polivaev
as documented on the home page of FreeMind.
COPYRIGHT MARK
At the bottom right corner, there is actually not the proper copyright mark
but a mesh of three characters. This is not so with the installer for 0.7.1and
0.8.0.
PROJECT GOVERNANCE
The installer reads:
The current project director: Daniel Polansky, the current project managers:
Christian Foltin and Dimitry Polivaev.
But Dimitry Polivaev is not a project manager. Please, kindly remove Dimitry
Polivaev.
Also, please avoid the German-styled ":" and use the complete sentences like
the following.
"The current project director is Daniel Polansky, while the current project
manager is Christian Foltin".
TECHNICAL ISSUES
There are no technical issues with the installers.
Thank you for correcting these issues in both the minimal and maximal
installers for Windows.
