We have some really cut-down nano-OSes running in the VM.
They use limited features on purpose, so we can test
and develop plex86.

The major techniques from the virtualization paper are
now implemented and in the code. (tarball only, I haven't
fixed the CVS tree yet) With those, most of what
we still need to implement is fairly emulation oriented.

We're playing with 32-bit stuff first, so running Linux
in the VM will come first. Then move on to DOS/Windows etc.
Man, I hate to make time estimates. Likely some number
of months before Linux runs. Since bochs has a working
BIOS, device models, and full CPU emulation, life is
a lot easier to get things running for a first rev.
We "sort of" have to do a subset of the emulation in
bochs, excepting for parts of the virtualization framework
to run stuff natively.

If I had to make up some imaginary timeline goals, I'd
like to see Linux running in the VM by midyear, and
Windows some months thereafter.
