I'm totally dumb when it comes to choose colors (even though I had a
"Colors and Visual Arts" course last session), so I won't be able to help here.
However, I agree that the colors you chose still need some tuning.
One little thing that bothers me is the "older stuff" column on the main
page. It leaves a whole empty space under the recent news. I suggest that
you put the translated links horizontally without the language name (or as
a caption), as most foreign language speaking people should know their
mother flag ( mine, for example, is the France one, as I'm a French
speaking canadian).
