Any encryption system can be circumvented, all that is required is time. 
If every user who has such an encrypted HD decides they don't like it,
they can just run a program that circumvents the crap that was put there
to make it impossible to make even LEGAL copies of things.  It doesn't
really matter how LONG it takes for a program to finaly do this, its is
your hard drive after all.

Would this kind of hard drive prevent you for placeing files on it that
are not copyrighted material?  If so, how does copyrighted material gain
the prestige of being protected by your HD?  If the file itself tells the
HD what permisions are allowed and not allowed, then the file can be
modified to give you permision to do whatever you want.  Right?  If that
is true then Freenet solves the problem of this HD Copyright Protection
system quite nicely. :)
