COULD THIS MEAN ANONYNIMITY FOR THE PUBLISHER WHICH CURRENT
KEYSERVERS COULD NEVER PROVIDE...?
I'm working on an email to web keyserver for freenet. Current
web-based keyservers cannot provide assured safety and anonymity
for the publisher. A freenet publisher cannot know who is
operating the web-based key servers or what logs are being kept
of their activities.
With this system, a freenet publisher can advertise
a key from a pseudonym or through an anonymous remailer. The
message which created the key is available in raw form for all
to see. The strength of this system rests upon the solidity
of the pseudonym or remailer security.
Here's how it works... Tell me if you think I should continue
development.
TO PUBLISH A KEY
----------------
1. compose an email which lists the keys you would like to
publish. One key per line. Be sure the key is preceded
by "freenet:". This is the pattern the system will look
for. BE CAREFUL WITH LINE WRAPPING...! The entire key
must be on a single line.
2. you may optionally put a description of what the key
contains on the same line as the key. You must separate
the key from the description with a TAB thusly.
freenet:the_key<TAB>the_description
3. no subject required... it will ignore any line not
preceded by "freenet:"
4. send the message to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
5. that's it...
TO VIEW PUBLISHED KEYS
----------------------
1. pull up a browser and go to: http://www.giantsquidmarks.com/keyserver
2. that's it... click a link to surf the keys with fproxy
Anonymity is achieved with an anonymous remailer...
HAVE FUN!!! don't cry if I accidentally screw something
up while I'm working on it. This software is still in
development.
Sincerely,
[EMAIL PROTECTED]
