I tried it on Win98 and there were a few problems.  Firstly, the
installation process froze when a DOS box titled something beginning with
"cfg" (perhaps "cfgclient"?) and spewed some errors which would force the
ordinary user to conclude that the installation had failed.  The
installation process would only continue when I manually killed this dos
box.  I note in the 0.3.5 release a dialog box appears saying that a port
had been found, however this did not happen in your 0.3.6 package.  Last
(but not least), the node didn't seem to start up correctly as going to
the Freenet gateway page returned a "page not found".

Are you sure that you only changed the freenet.jar file?
