I got freenet to work under Mac OS X on the command line for both inserting and retrieving content. The problems I reported were I guess due to timing issues with other servers (or missing content). But things brings up a question. My main machine is behind a firewall. I can retrieve content with this fine, and I can do an insert and then retrieve on the same local server. However, if I try a retrieve of that content from another machine, it never shows up. I'm wondering if this is a firewall issue, or something else? And, in general, is there a way to run freenet behind a firewall while providing server capabilities to the outside world (while keeping the machine secure)?
