Ric asked about what to see that was different. Here is a VERY
quick run through.
Select - Patient Records
Select - any patient.
Select - Encounters
Select - template (click on the ID LBP523193 for Lower Back Pain)
Fill in some stuff & check some boxes (it helps if you're a
physician <g>).
Click the Generate patient note button at the bottom of the
template.
Select some prescriptions, labs and radiology requests. Click on
the corresponding Add To Note button.
Save the Note.
Click on the Complaint link.
Sign off the note.
View Full Note (it breaks out the details of tests &
prescriptions).
The shaded words in the note are because those are 'norms' and
physicians don't want to see them when just reviewing the note.
They are in there for HCFA documentation purposes.
Printing the note isn't finished (but hey! this is a paperless
system <s>).
Go to Orders from the main screen and you will see where Lab &
Radiology Techs receive orders from the physician. The list
updates every 30 seconds but that is configurable. Probably 2 - 3
minutes would be good in real life.
Questions? There is lots more to it than this. I guess this is
the 50 cent tour!
