Do you know StarOffice 5.0? They took the fact, that KDE appears as
the defacto standard desktop in Germany (because SuSE is almost defacto
standard here ;) and created a KDE compliant StarOffice. And they did
not use Qt (but more expensive software ;)

I really do not see your problem. I can agree with Lars that a GPLed
Harmony would be nice, but _I_ wouldn't spent my time on it.
