I have learned that there is no such thing as a silly question. Even
the most experience of people (not that I am) over look things. Just
incase, I went to check it out, make clean didn't even work, rm'd the
config.cache, even went as far as to grab a new copy of the archive
with simply no luck. I am just at a lose here. Can't even get past
the ./configure....feelin like a rewb here. :)

Silly question, by 'move to a Solaris box' do you mean you tarred up
the
Redhat sources and untarred them on Solaris? If so 'make clean; rm

config.cache; ./configure' ... might help. The config.cache may be
left
over from the redhat config stuff.
