I would have to run it as root then, cause im in freebsd and it uses
master.passwd which is owned by root.

That's a common problem people run into.

Via 'shadow' passwords.
Please read 'radiusd.conf', and look for the configuration items
'user' and 'group'. Do an ls -al /etc/shadow
