FreeRADIUS sends Ascend attributes as VSA's by default. Ascend had
the HORRIBLE habit of using the base attributes for it's own nefarious
purposes. The IETF has since defined *standard* meanings for those
base attributes, which may conflict with the broken Ascend meanings.
There's probably a config flag in the Ascend NAS to allow it to
listen to VSA's. See the archive from earlier this month for more
information.
