In Oracle, the encrypt fonction belong to the DBMS_OBFUSCATION_TOOLKIT package 
(dbmsobtk.sql and prvtobtk.plb) and use the DES algorithm. The Unix
crypt function also use the DES algorithm so it may match but i don t try.
