You don't. See my original reply to the message. Edit your .profile or
whatever so that you have an environment variable LD_LIBRARY_PATH, which
contains /usr/local/lib.
You have to tell your system where to look for libraries. If you don't
tell it to look in /usr/local/lib, it won't look there.
