...but you see, I own and use "something.com".  Could people try and use
example.com or .org/.net, all of which have been reserved by the IANA for use
in documentation and the like?

I already get plenty of email from people when an unimaginative spammer uses
something.com in a fake email address.  I'd rather it not show up in someone's
documentation or config file that I later get questions about.  I know this is
only a question on a mailing list, but I just wanted to make people aware of
the issue of using someone else's live domain in examples.
