Thanks for the reply.
i read up on the += and for some reason it makes sense now. I've look at those
i'd bet 4 or 5 times and i just didn't get it.
i'm an old cistron user so maybe thats why.
adding the += to my two av-pairs lines forced them to be sent and voila...it
started working.

Huh? What do you mean 'the av pairs are never passed'? Run the
server in debugging mode to see what it's replies are.

Hmm... have you read 'man 5 users'? Try looking at '+='
