Hi all.
I have upgraged Freeradius-0.4 to 0.5 and got an error in MS-CHAP module:
--------------------------
modcall[authorize]: module "counter" returns ok
modcall[authorize]: module "mschap" returns ok
modcall: group authorize returns ok
rad_check_password: Found Auth-Type MS-CHAP
auth: type "MS-CHAP"
modcall: entering group authenticate
Assertion failed in rlm_mschap.c, line 869
Abort - core dumped
--------------------------
in FR 0.4 everything about MS-CHAP worked excellent.
I tried several CVSes (0319, 0320, 0325, 0328) but none of them has the
remedy for the situation.
It seems like a bug, doesn't it?
I have checked the source rlm_mschap.c, and the procedure which includes
869th line is responsible for SAMBA-NT password hashing/crypting stuff. I
don't think the program should go there while talking to Cisco NAS.
I use MS-CHAP v1 for authenticating users on Cisco 7223. PPPoE.
FR-0.5-CVS-200203028, Solaris 8 Intel Edition, PostgreSQL 7.1
Any ideas?
With respect,
Timophey.
