hello! this seems to be another problem (nothing to do with sql). try to start your radius server in the debug mode (-s -xxyz) and see if the problem persists (and if, what's the point). alternatively check the radiusd.conf for the information with which user-rights you start your server.
most probably your server doesn't have enough rights to read your shadow password file. this is needed by the unix-module. if you do not plan to use this module, first try to disable password-caching of this module (this will probably solve the problem) and then to deactivate its usage in the author., authen. and accounting sections at the end of the file. regards, artur "Jason M.
