I read in the archive that the same problem was reported a few months ago : I try to configure authentification with freeRadius for an ORINOCO AP1000, with a client on winXP.
EAP auth goes correcly (Access-Challenge sent) but there is no answer from the wireless side, and the client gets no access. Your help is fully welcomed ! Here's what the server says in debugging mode : #### Server side rad_recv: Access-Request packet from host 134.214.79.172:192, id=4, length=156 User-Name = "portable" NAS-IP-Address = 134.214.79.172 Called-Station-Id = "00022d076b99" Calling-Station-Id = "00601df400f4" NAS-Identifier = "PFE AP " NAS-Port-Type = Wireless-802.11 Framed-MTU = 1400 State = 0xf7709991f326e239e137bea6e32895ffd995ad3c42cb9b1d14484e34882cce501454fe2e EAP-Message = "\002\004\000\r\001portable" Message-Authenticator = 0xf2532f3fc6826502a6b60c0b07a63486 modcall: entering group authorize modcall[authorize]: module "preprocess" returns ok modcall[authorize]: module "eap" returns updated modcall[authorize]: module "suffix" returns ok users: Matched portable at 77 modcall[authorize]: module "files" returns ok modcall: group authorize returns updated rad_check_password: Found Auth-Type EAP auth: type "EAP" modcall: entering group authenticate rlm_eap: processing type md5 modcall[authenticate]: module "eap" returns ok modcall: group authenticate returns ok radius_xlat: 'Coucou Mathieu' Sending Access-Challenge of id 4 to 134.214.79.172:192 User-Name = "portable" User-Password = "portable" Reply-Message = "Coucou Mathieu" EAP-Message = "\001\004\000\026\004\020[\212\202\037\031\201\001v\244\362\212\317\350+\360 " Message-Authenticator = 0x00000000000000000000000000000000 State = 0x0e3eafaa13bde6170947e6a9c48e97f6f295ad3c996cb47d000dbb24cb4b05b943d8a3c5 ...
