SQL is simply another format for storing the same information contained
in the 'users' file. The fact that it is stored in an SQL database vs.
a flat text file makes no difference. The attributes ( and the respective
check and reply items ) translate between the two.
The Auth-Type you want to set depends on what type of Authentication you
want to do. If you want to include a 'Password == "foobar"' attribute as
a check-item, then you set it to 'Local'. If you want to use the
password contain in the system /etc/passwd(shadow) then set it to 'System'.
There isn't one correct answer to your question. There are many that
can be correct or not, but they all depend on what you are trying to do.
Try rephrasing your question with more details, instead of a demanding
"tell me how to do this" statement, you'll get better responses that way.
