(newbie question, i'm just evaluating the software) I need to maintain a big list of Filter-ID attributes on the Radius server. With Livingston Radius, there's the solution of defining the attributes in the "users" file, on a per-user or per-group basis. But that sucks when you need to maintain a big list of attributes (the nightmare of maintaining huge flat-text conf files), especially when you need a per-user list.
I'm exploring FreeRadius now, which seems interesting because it allows storing a part of the configuration in MySQL. Is there a way, with FreeRadius, to associate the Filter-ID attribute with users directly in the database, not in a text file? Is there a way to avoid maintaining the ugly big text file? If the answer is yes, we might start deploying FreeRadius as "The" Radius solution on our network.
